Terms & Conditions

Booking Procedure

A security deposit of £100.00 plus £25.00 booking fee and a completed booking form are required within 5 working days to secure the booking.  Until receipt of deposit and form your booking is deemed provisional and can be cancelled without prior notice.

The balance is due 6 weeks prior to arrival date.  Non payment of the balance by the due date will be treated as a cancellation by you.

We will send you a receipt of any payments and confirmation of the booking.

Bookings made less than 6 weeks prior to arrival date must be paid in full at time of booking.

Any payments may be made by cheque (payable to Mr & Mrs S W Scutt) or via bank transfer.

Completion of the booking form states that you agree with all Terms and Conditions.

The Security Deposit

The security deposit (where applicable) is required prior to the rental period.  This is held against any charges incurred as a result of any breach by you of these Terms and Conditions of Hire (e.g. breakages, damages, additional cleaning). If of a minor nature no charge will be made.  Where no liability for charges is incurred, the security deposit will be returned in full to you within 21 days. You will be responsible for any damage caused to the property or it`s contents by yourselves or your guests during the period of your rental.

 

The Booking Fee

A booking fee of £25.00 is payable on all bookings.

 

Cancellations

In the event of cancellation, please tell us immediately so that that every effort may be made to re-let the property.

If we re-let you will receive a full refund of monies less the booking fee. If we are unable to re-let the property you will be fully liable for the full amount of the booking.  You are strongly advised to take out holiday cancellation insurance. 

In the unlikely event of cancellation by the owners the owner shall only be liable to return all monies received. We will not be liable for any consequential loss you may suffer or any compensation to you.

 

Moving In

Any issues or defects regarding the accommodation should be reported by 5.00pm on the Monday after arrival, or as soon as possible thereafter , which will enable us to investigate the matter.  The owner cannot accept responsibility for work taking place outside or within it`s boundary nor for any noise or nuisance arising from work or actions over which the owner has no control.

The owner cannot accept liability for problems outside their reasonable control such as breakdowns of domestic appliances , plumbing etc; although every effort will be made to rectify problems as soon as possible.

Every endeavour is made to have the apartment available from 3pm on the day of arrival.  It must be vacated by 10am on the day of departure.  Information about keys will be provided nearer the time of your vacation. 

Please leave the accommodation as clean and tidy as you found it with the inventory complete. Please be considerate of your neighbours.  The Priory is a beautiful, old substantial building, with thick walls which means that noise should not be a problem.  When outside do not be a nuisance with unacceptable volumes of television or music, particularly with open doors.

 

Liability

Children must be supervised at all times.

The owners accept no responsibility for loss or damage to any cars, their contents, bicycles or personal effects belonging to the hirers or guests of the property. The use of the accommodation and amenities including the garden and decking areas is entirely at the hirer`s risk, and no responsibility can be accepted for injury, loss or damage to the hirer or the hirer`s guests.

All cars and bicycles are parked at the car and bike owner's risk.

 

Additional Terms

The letting created by this agreement is a Holiday Let within the meaning given in paragraph 9 of part 1 to schedule 1 of the Housing Act 1988.

This contract is governed by English Law.
